I want to invite you to join me in an all out focus of PRAYER! I am convinced in the power of prayer and in the urgency of it. I have seen God move through prayer. I have experienced physical healings, deliverances, and miraculous transformations. James, the brother of Jesus and the leader of the first church, said “the prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective.” (James 5:16)

I also believe in the power of unity. The first Broadway play I attended was Les Miserables. It was also my first time experiencing a full live orchestra. We arrived early and the room was filled with the sound of dozens of instruments warming up. Strings, horns, percussions…all making noise! It was awful! It was loud, disorganized, and chaotic. Every instrument was playing its own tune. However, once the maestro arrived and tapped his wand, every single instrument submitted together to his direction. The results of that unity were truly amazing and beautiful!

Unity in prayer under the direction of our “Maestro” produces amazing results! Jesus said “where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” (Matthew 18:20). He takes pleasure in our unity and He honors it with His very presence.

Beginning May 7th and going through Pentecost Sunday on June 5th, I am calling our church to 30 days of prayer and fasting. We will gather together each Saturday evening for one hour between 6pm and 7pm to unite in worship and prayer. We will seek God together for direction, for our needs, and for a greater revelation of His presence. This Sunday, I will be speaking on prayer, and I will be speaking on fasting the following Sunday. Then on Sunday, May 1st, everyone will receive a prayer journal to help guide us in unified prayer for 30 days.

Please do what you can to attend as many of the Saturday Prayer services as possible. Each service will be strictly one hour long. Let’s all join together in prayer for 30 days as we create a symphony of prayer and fasting conducted by our Master conductor, Jesus!
